I made a power point to accompany my 3 hint shape quiz as I worried just spouting words might lose the interest of my first graders or that the words might be too difficult.
Each slide has the image of the hint words covered. First, say the three hints. If no one can figure it out, slowly reveal the images via clicking or pressing 'enter'. Once the correct guess is made, the next slide has the shape spelled out along with the shapes being outlined.
The Hints
Circle - orange, soccer ball, snowman
Square - present, window, stamp
Diamond - kite, baseball, ring
Triangle - chip, pizza, umbrella
Star - wish, magic, Mario
Heart - leaf, love, valentine
Rectangle - smart phone, door, TV
Oval - egg, corn, eye
Update 7/19/2024
I used the feedback and tried to make the shape borders more visible, added 'rectangle' and 'oval', a very few minor animations, and the shape's katakana.

I love this! Will use for my special needs students, thank you!
Really nice!! I'd say the only thing I'd change is making the answer a more obvious colour and easier to see. The text blends in a bit. For my classes, it's important to highlight the answer or they might not see it even if it feels super duper clear already to use
simple but cute and easy to use. very useful, thank you for sharing!
