DETAILED EXPLANATION:
- Students choose which handout they want to color.
- Tell them that this robot/giant is your friend and he is very colorful. You know what color each part of his body is and are going to tell them.
- Make statements like, "My friend has a blue head," or "My friend has one pink arm and one brown arm."
- Students should color in the drawing accordingly.
- Go slowly, and demonstrate for students who don’t catch on right away.
- Color your own sheet as you go, but keep it a secret.
- After you are finished explaining, show everyone your coloring and have the students compare theirs with yours.
TIPS/CAUTIONS:
- If you don't want the kids to see what color pens you are using, color your sheet in ahead of class.
