For this activity students will work together in groups trying to find specific ing related images in their textbook.
What you will need:
A TV, a New crown 1 textbook and a pc
How it works
- Show the first slide to students and tell them that "Something is hiding there, what is it?"
- Once they find the textbook hidden in the slide explain that they will be looking for ing objects in their textbook.
- Tell the students to get into groups and put their textbooks in front of them.
- Explain that if a student thinks they've found the correct picture they should come to you and say (he/she/it/they are on page ***)
- When they are ready tell the students to put their hands in the air (not above their heads just away from their textbooks)
- Show them the next slide and let them look for the correct picture in their textbooks.
Notes
- Ask your JTE to keep score, tallying up the score going to every successful group after every round.
- Once a student approaches you with the correct answer and after they've said the right pronoun and page number tell all the other groups to stop and let them know which group got the correct answer.
