DETAILED EXPLANATION:
- Practice the phrases on the worksheet to get students comfortable and check understanding.
- Students are given 5 minutes or so to ask their classmates, "Have you ever ~?" Using the two empty boxes above the clipart/verb, students write their classmate's name and mark the little box with a "O" for "Yes, I have" or an "X" for "No, I haven't."
- After returning to their desks, students now can choose and write 4 responses into sentences from their interviews. Give them around 5 minutes or so.
VARIATIONS:
- You can also make more lines on the back of the worksheet so the students can write out the question and the answer, since there isn't a lot of writing practice for the question. Or you can just change the 4 lines on the front to include the question.
TEACHING SUGGESTIONS:
- If you want the students to write/speak more, then feel free to add more phrases into the worksheet.
