Activity

Spin the Pencil (past tense)

A fun way to get students asking and answering questions about the past.

This is a modified version of akopoito's Past Simple BINGO Spinner activity.

Students make pairs and play janken. The winner can spin their pencil on each circle. The words their pencil points to will be used to make a question. I.e: What did you (eat) (last night)? Once their patner has answered, the first student can then circle the words (or color the wheel section) they used. After that, they can swap roles and take turn asking and answering questions. The first student to circle all the words on either circle is the winner!
