A PowerPoint game and worksheet to practice How Many, counting, plural grammar, and some other features.

A PowerPoint game and worksheet to practice How Many, Counting, Plural Form, and some other features.

Materials:
- none

Preparation:
1) - Print the worksheets for all students
2) - Run through the PowerPoint in presentation mode

Lesson:
- This is a great exercise for 一年生 students to practice and have some fun while counting.
- Originally inspired by page 47 of the New Crown 1 textbook, if you are able to use it I would recommend counting the numbers on those pages as a class warmup prior to the PowerPoint.
- The PowerPoint begins each round of the game with some grammar points regarding the plural forms of whatever is about to appear. Please run through it beforehand to familiarize yourself with the contents.
- There are 6 rounds but I have never gotten past the 5th, we always run out of time somehow. The rounds get harder and harder, and if you express this to them after the first round they get pretty serious about it.
- You can create a challenge where the first three students to bring you their completed worksheet at the front are the winners of that round. It gets hectic but it's a ton of fun. Students would even leave their desks to get closer to the digital whiteboard, I remember they looked like paparazzi with some standing and some crouching, all trying to count and write on their sheets.
- I intended this as a team game but it never worked out that way... it went well individually but try a team game if you'd like.
- I have a feeling this could be used for ES 6年生.
