I used this activity in my 2 year JHS class. I'm not exactly sure if I used the intended grammar correctly, but nevertheless it was a fun activity.
First, in pairs students decide who will be A and who will be B. There are 3 characters in the A box and the same for B. For each of the characters in their respective box, the students will secrectly draw a line to any one descriptor of the 12 given.
For example, Student A can draw a line from Greg to "book to read". And do the same for Larry and Tina with a different descriptor.
After they're finshed they'll take turns asking each other "Does ( ) have ____ to ____?" They will answer either "Yes, he/she does." or "No, he/she does not." If they get a yes they'll draw a line from the character to the correct descriptor.
Student B: "Does Greg have flowers to smell?"
Student A: "No, he does not."
Student A: takes their turn
Student B: "Does Greg have a book to read?"
Student A: "Yes, he does!"
Student B: draws a line from Greg to "book to read"
When I did this activity in my class it actually turned out to be more difficult then I expected for the students to find the correct match. So to save on time you could also designate the descriptors on the left to A and the ones on the right to B or vice versa.
