DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  • There is a list of 'if' sentences and a stack of 'do' cards.
  • An ‘if’ sentence is read. The students listen and stand up if they fall under the 'if' category. For example, “If you are a boy...”
  • The ALT/JTE/group member then chooses a card from the 'do' deck. The 'do' deck should contain half-good and half-bad cards. For example, “... jump 15 times,” or “... play Janken against the JTE and win."
  • If the standing students can complete the 'do' category, they are receive a point.
  • The students with the most points win.

VARIATIONS:

  • This game can be played with the entire class or in groups.
