Before Class:
Print the handout and cut out each of the sentences. Mix them up so you have a set of nine scrambled chunks. This is for pair work, so make as many sets as you need for each pair to have one set.
The video is embedded in the presentation, but download it from YouTube onto your PC or USB just in case.
In Class:
First:
Click through the PowerPoint to go over the lesson objectives and introduce Mr. Bean.
Explain that they'll be watching a five-ish minute video and talking about it as a class afterwards, and to try and pay attention to their favourite parts and the order in which things happen.
Give a brief description of the video - Mr. Bean studied hard for a test but doesn't know any of the answers. At the end, he realises that there are two tests hapenning at the same time and he's looking at the wrong test paper.
Watch the video and then talk about it as a class. What happened, why, which parts did they like, etc.
This should take 15-20 minutes
Second:
Put students in pairs and give out the scrambled pieces of paper - one set per pair.
Students read the paper and assemble the story. Play the video again while they work to help.
This should take 15-20 minutes
Lastly:
Combine pairs into groups and have them discuss exam rules, what they can, can't, must do etc.
Feedback as a group.
This takes up the last chunk of lesson time.
