This is a very simple worksheet, aimed at beginner students. It asks students their name, birthday and where they’re from, as well as what sport they play, and what color/food/animal they like. At the top of the worksheet, students write one-word answers, and at the bottom of the worksheet they write simple sentences.
This an activity that doesn’t require much explanation. However, I always start by showing my self-into worksheet as an example, just to make sure the students understand the goal.
Note: The page numbers at the bottom of the worksheet are for 2021 New Horizons 1. They can be adjusted or deleted for different textbooks.
Note 2: This worksheet uses the scaffolding "I play...”. Before I give the students the worksheet, we have a quick discussion on which sports they 'play' or 'do'. Students can then decide whether they should use ‘play’, or if they should cross it out and write ‘do’ instead.
