In the first and second slide, students identify a mistake in a question sentence to learn how to avoid similar errors. The remaining slides feature general questions starting with "Have you ever...?" accompanied by pictures of experiences available in the Philippines, Japan, and other countries. Students raise their hands if their answer is yes. You can then ask follow-up questions to those who raised their hands, or students who answered no can ask follow-up questions to those who said yes.
On the slide where I ask, "Have you ever heard someone speak in Filipino?" initially, only one or no one raises their hands. Without giving them prior notice, I then give a short speech in Filipino. Afterward, I ask the question again, and they raise their hands because they've just heard me speak in Filipino.
After the PowerPoint quiz, have the students write their own questions by changing the underlined words in each sentence. Then, let them practice asking and answering these questions with different partners.

the pictures are wonderful. I can't wait to try this with my students!
props kabayan!
Wow! Why didn't I think of that. Funny thing is. I have tried all of them. Thank you for this. Love it. Salamat po
I did this, and it was perfect! The worksheet was a great idea too and great for speaking to each other in the end. I covered the balut picture with a shocked irasutoya face, just in case it was too delicate for students' eyes lol. But they did get certainly intrigued halfway through.
That's great to hear.
