I've been going over reading skills to help my high school 3rd years prepare for university and Eiken tests. This game has been a great way to liven up the otherwise tedious content!
Procedure
- Have the JTE post the ads all around the room while you sort the students into groups of 4-6
- Give each group one blank answer sheet and a deck of question cards
- Students janken in their groups. The winner will be the first runner.
- The runner will draw a card, read the question, and search for the answer in the ads around the room. Some answers require a lot of information, so they can go back and forth between their group and the ad to report information piece by piece if necessary.
- The group will listen to the report and a one person will write the answer in the correct space.
- Choose a new runner and writer, pick a new card, and repeat!
Important Notes:
- Some answers will require the students to use math!
- Some multiple choice questions have multiple answers!
I hope it goes well for you!
