I made this to complement the Matsuka Phonics (松香フォニックス) jingle, so the example words will match that jingle. Be sure to print on size A3 paper. I don't think it will be readable on anything smaller.
Includes:
-Letter names in katakana
-phonics sound approximations in katakana
-sh, ch, th digraph guide
There are 3 pages, each with slight differences.
Page 1: includes alternate sounds and example words/pictures for both the main and alternate sound (c, g, y).
Page 2: includes the alternate sounds but only uses the main sound's picture.
Page 3: only includes main sound
Edit: I took the comments into consideration and updated the material. Some of the letter names have been rewritten, and I've swapped the voiced/unvoiced labels that were incorrect before. Thanks for the feedback!
VERY high quality! Minor complaint is that the letters and the pictures sometimes phonetically do not match. A(eɪ) for a(æ)pple. Maybe something like A for Age. Still very awesome though!
Thank you! Just to clarify, the katakana on top is the letter name. The sound is in the speech bubble. Both are labeled in Japanese, so it should be pretty easy for the kids to distinguish between them.
Very well done!
How did you decide the katakana for the letter names? I would've written some differently, e.g. L (エル), N (エヌ/エン), R (アール)
Hey, this looks great! I think you mixed up 無声 and 有声. Math is 無声 (unvoiced). That's right is 有声 (voiced). Thanks!
