Activity

I'm (happy) to ______.

Students play janken and create I'm (happy) to (hear that) sentences that go along with New Horizon Grade 2 Unit 3. Can be used as a warmup or quick activity.

I put this together about 20 mins before class, so it's not as nice as I would like it to look, but the students had fun with it.

First I had the class come up with emotions, which I wrote on the board: Happy, sad, excited, surprised, angry, etc.

Then, I had students get into pairs and play janken. The student who lost had to create a sentence using the picture.

Example: I'm happy to eat icecream.

They caught onto the new key sentence rather quickly and really enjoyed creating sentences with the pictures.

Perfect warm up activity! I made my own PPT because I can't access Drive. I used about 7 pictures and we spent 10 minutes practicing. Very successful, thanks :)
