Activity

How lucky are you today? Present perfect practice

Students fill in the blanks to make their own flowchart style quizzes that tell you how lucky your day will be!

There are slides to go with the worksheet so you can explain what you want them to write in each box, and check the students' comprehension. I ask the students to write down three words on the back of their sheet before they know what the goal of the activity is, and then get them to use those words in the final little 'fortune' boxes when they've finished filling in all the other boxes. This way, after everyone has finished filling in the worksheet they can ask their classmates their quizzes, and every 'fortune' will be a little different.

I made this activity for a small special needs SHS class to take up a whole period, but I think this could work for a JHS class as well.
