This is a speaking game that can be adapted for many grammar points. The first slide has a click-through tutorial of the rules of the game.
I've left in an example slide for present perfect sentences, but this is a pretty flexible activity and can be adapted to many grammar points. There's a hidden slide that functions as a template. Just add your sentence parts to the top and bottom, delete the 'Miss' explosion from any three squares you like and drag the 'Hit' explosion and ship over together. Remember to go into the animation panel and switch the trigger for those two elements to whichever square of the grid you've put them in (rows are labelled A-D, columns 1-4).
How do I add more battleships? I want to have five but I'm not sure what to input. Thank you for making this engaging activity!
@fraziermichael You can go into slide 4 (the hidden slide), just select the one of the ship and 'Hit' explosions from the right-hand side and then copy and paste! Those two elements have the animations already set, all you'd need to do place them in the grid, go into the animation panel, select the whole sequence of animations attached to those elements and go Timing > Triggers > Start effect on click of > and then select the grid reference for wherever you've placed the ship. E.g., if you place it in the first row, second column, select 'A2' for the trigger.
For scorekeeping purposes, you can also copy and paste one of the ship icons and red Xs from the right hand side of the slide.
