Alphabet Telephone Game inspires this idea.
The teacher draws five to six squares on the board for the students to write the letter.
The horizontal row of students is a team.
The teacher will give each student in the front row their designated letter. (You can give them a small piece of paper.)
Students will use their fingers to draw the letter on the desk of their classmate sitting behind them. (some students are sensitive to touch)
Team 1 writes b.
Team 2 writes a.
Team 3 writes n.
Team 4 writes a.
Team 5 writes n.
Team 6 writes a.
The last vertical row of students write the letter on the board until they complete the mystery six-letter words (example: banana)
The teacher will read the mystery word. If the spelling is correct, praise the students. If there's a mistake, ask the students what the correct letter could be and have them guess the word.
Students can change seats to give chance to other students to write on the board.
Enjoy!
This is a great alternative to having them trace the letters on the other students. Thank you!
My students do not want to stop playing this!
