Another short manga chapter to get kids reading at the English Board! I am adding this to my Halloween English board because the art is horror-esque while the story itself is wholesome. The first chapter is also on ALTopedia, and I'll add a tag in case you want to post them chronologically~
"The Story of How I Found My Cat" is a Twitter manga series that is super fun to read and uses pretty basic English/Japanese in the first chapters. I highlighted the key words and taped the translation on top of the original manga so students could flip between them! You can read the official manga on their website here to support the artist: https://twi-manga-matome.com/archives/4295
How To: 📚
- Print all pages on A4 or A3.
- Cut out the English-translated text boxes.
- Tape one side of the text box to the original Japanese manga pages.
Notes: 📝
Translation is done by a group on Mangadex. They kept a lot of the Japanese onomatopoeias in place rather than cleaning them off.
Happy teaching,

My students loved the first panel, so thank you so much!
The first panel was great! This one is also great! I liked that the first panel had all the text boxes on one page, but I understand that it probably takes a lot of effort to make that.
Very cute! I will use it on my next English board.
Thank you! This is great.
