This is a project for students to research and present information about their favorite musician. The whole idea for this project came from eisorus upload "Taylor Swift - English Music Lesson". I have included their worksheet here titled "Music Worksheet" with some additional questions I added so it can lead into the main lesson for this project. The first lesson will use the PowerPoint and the "Music Worksheet" to listen to one of Taylor Swifts songs and then get the students to start thinking about their favorite musician. The next lesson is when you pass out the "Musician Poster". The students will chose one musician and start researching them and fill out their worksheet. When a student has finished the "Musician Poster" I will give them the "Musician Presentation" worksheet. I have each student read from their "Musician Presentation" to me but you could also have each student present to the class.
You can just skip the "Music Worksheet" and go straight to the "Musician Poster" if you're short on time. Feel free to change any examples as needed, if you want to use your favorite musician instead I'm sure the students would enjoy hearing about what you like. My PowerPoint is pretty simple so you can add more slides if your students need more information. Also a fun activity I like to do when my students are working on their "Musician Poster" is to open Youtube and play a couple seconds of music from each of their musicians. Some of the students get super excited and it's really fun to see!
