Objective:
To complete the bingo grid by interviewing their classmates and do some writing practice.
Set up:
Print enough worksheets for one per student.
Method:
This is interview style bingo, students will ask classmates: 'Do you wish you ○○?'
First, practice the questions - do repeat after me.
Next, give students 3-5 minutes to write their own answers to the questions (by number 1).
After, demonstrate how to play with your JTE.
- ALT asks JTE: 'Do you wish you ○○?'
- JTE answers, if it is the same as your answer that's great! You can write their name (by number 2) and cross off the square.
- JTE asks ALT a different question: 'Do you wish you ○○?'
- ALT answers, but it's not the same! JTE can't cross off the bingo square.
- You can only cross off if you have the same answers.
- The aim is to get a full bingo - ALL BINGO!
Then, it's their turn, interview time! Encourage them to ask different students for every question.
After maybe 10 minutes, get them to sit down.
Ask who has ALL BINGO? Winners get stickers.
Then it's writing practice time. Show them the example and let them try.
If they finish, get them to put hands up so you can check their work.
