I work at JHS and ES so these materials are made to be appropriate for both.
Not date specific, except the calendar, so you can use them any year.
There are PDF and DOC versions for most things if you want to edit.
What's included:
- December Calendar 2024 (A3)
- CHRISTMAS wordsearch & answers (A4)
- Christmas Movie Recommendations (A3)
- December music recommendation (A4) - 'Christmas Tree Farm', Taylor Swift
- Christmas mini flashcards (A4 x2)
I WILL BE ADDING TO THIS AS I MAKE MATERIALS
((For formatting, I use: 'Antique Olive Compact' or 'Segoe UI Black' for titles, and 'UD デジタル UK-R' for body text.))
For the word search: "Christmas Tree" has 4 S's and 3 E's. "Dinner" has 3 N's.
There are also two places to find the words "Christmas Tree" and "Dinner", instead of just finding it once.
I know :)
There are only 2 correct spellings of 'Christmas tree' and 'dinner', which are the ones that count. The others are red herrings.
(my kids got too good at word searches so I'm trying to challenge them)
Ah, that's interesting! Thanks for letting me know!
About the mini flash cards: they are cool. If you use lower case for bell or snowman etc, it could be easier for ES students.
Nice idea @Furachan. If you want to make it easier for ES, they are actually more familiar with the upper case letters, so that would be better. But, Christmas is after we have studied the lower case letters with the 4th graders, so I know that they can understand it :)
Thank you for these activities. I also noticed that SATAN is mentioned in the word search XD. Could you fix that so that it won’t get picked up by students or JTE’s who are doing it?
@Jacosensei If it's any comfort, I've done this with 5 classes and no one has picked up on it. Maybe when I have time I could fix it :)
