Can you find the treasure?
This is a simple battleship worksheet fitted with some Animal Crossing imagery. I've used this with my ES 5/6 and JHS 1.
Go over the names and actions in the tables. For lower-level classes I have the students take notes in case they can't read quite yet.
Have the students draw their treasures on the top table. This is their board.
Practice the question and answer structure.
Demonstrate the game with the HRT/JTE. Do an example question/answer each. It's best to use the projector/tv or blackboard to show where you check on your partner's table and your own.
Pair the students off and start!
The ppt worksheet can be easily changed to different grammar structures so please use it! I also used the Junior Sunshine fonts so install those first if you want to keep the same structure.
