Students are shown pictures of objects under the electron microscope and try to guess what they are. They are given two hints, but you could always add more.
This worked well during club period.

Cool, although the picture of the toothbrush is pretty disturbing.
The more I stare at it, the more I agree with you, UonumaRobert. haha I changed it to the butterfly, added orange juice to the mix. Thank you!
Maybe put it back in somewhere in the middle. Always good to have an extra creepy surprise in the middle of a quiz. Great idea with this activity.
Done. Kids really enjoyed the MRI quizzes, so I wanted to make something similar. I tried animals at first, then airport scanned luggage but what I found were creepier than the toothbrush. Thanks!
This is really great. Did you have much luck finding airport scan pictures? I took a look awhile back but all the pictures I found were of stuffed bags with too many things. Also maybe a small change to one hint. For the chalk maybe go with 'The teacher uses it to write'
This quiz is hard but interesting. Even myself as a teacher couldn't have guess one correct, let alone the students. Yes, the toothbrush one is quite creepy. It gives me the creep having known what I use to brush my teeth with. Nevertheless, it's very interesting. This could be used for a science/English class. Good job!
