A simple minecraft board game using the language from the textbooks.
Materials needed:
Board Printout (A3 or A4)
Characters Printout (A3 or A4)
Dice
Scissors
I recommend slicing the character sheet horizontally and giving the students a row of characters, allowing them to cut out their chosen characters and save you carrying around 100 tiny little minecraft skins.
Start by writing on the board the 4 questions.
How many ~
What's this?
Who are you?
What do you want?
Provide a quick example of each from the textbook to make sure their memories are refreshed. But if like me you've done these to death, it shouldn't take long.
The aim of the game is to get to the finish, which must be a perfect roll. If they land on a question, they must raise their hand and wait for a teacher to come by and answer the question. One of my classes struggled with this, so I added a quick rule sheet. However another one of my classes' students started policing themselves with the answers. So it'd be interesting to hear how other ALT's got on.
Of course A3 is recommended but A4 is fine too. Please let me hear any feedback!
I would love to be able to edit the text can you provide a raw version?
Kids will love this!
