This activity takes around 15- 20 minutes depending on your class size. Split the class into pairs. Each pair begins the game with 10 points. The students within their pairs try to solve the question the fastest. Each slide includes the picture clues and the answer. Just click and the answer will appear and click to get to the next slide.
The first pair to solve the statement correctly gets a point. The winning pair then picks a team to ask the question to. The team they chose must answer and lose a point. ( I designed it this way as an incentive for the students to try their best to participate, my 3rd grade classes are shy to speak but they all like to win points).
I play till I run out of slides. In the remaining lesson time, I give the students blank papers or white boards, they then have an opportunity to come up with their own picture clues to create Have you ever statements.
Nice picture hints. I might adapt some into write and race activities. Thank you.
awesome! Its a hit!
