Alphabet Matching Game (Uppercase/Lowercase)

A PowerPoint game to review uppercase and lowercase letters!

Estimated time: 15-20 minutes (per game)

The matching game is split into two PPTs, with different sets of letters:

Game 1: A-B-G-H-K-L-P-Q-R

Game 2: D-E-F-I-J-M-N-T-Y

Letters that are the same uppercase and lowercase aren't included. (C,O,S, etc.)

Directions: (also in the PPT)

Divide the class into two teams. Each team then takes turns choosing TWO numbered squares. If the two squares are the same, then the team gets a point. If the two squares are different, then click on the red circle to hide the picture again.

Students must try to remember where the matching pairs are.

Notes:

In my experience, the most effective way to play this game is to let the team that finds a match get another turn.

When choosing squares, encourage them to say the numbers in English.

Though this activity is geared toward upper ES, my JHS special education class enjoyed it as well!
