This is a game I called "keyword karuta". This is a pair game, but can be played within groups of 3 or 4 in a pinch. The students have to listen for the keyword the teacher chooses, and they slap the card after the teacher says it. When a student slaps a card first, they win that card for their points pile. The student with the most cards at the end of the match is the winner.
