JTE and ALT will have a simple conversation. Follow some patterns from the NH1 textbook.
Give out some personal information (name, nickname, age, birthday, age, like) that may be useful for the students' self introduction later.
They may have studied some phrases like, “I want to study.., I'm good at..”
Distribute the worksheets. Ask them to write their information.
Have them in groups of four/five.
Let them practice self-intro on their seats.
Decide who will go first. Tell the class that one question should be ask to the first member who did the self-intro.
(For low level students) You can ask the JTE for help to explain how students can ask questions.
Demo with JTE again. ALT to ask questions about JTE’s self-intro. Simple Yes / No questions are OK.
(Do you like..?, Can you..? How many..?)
The second member should ask a question to the first member.
If there is enough time, collect all worksheets and have a quiz about the self-intro.
Choose a random worksheet.
(He likes.., She is good at.., He wants to go to.., She wants to study..)
Usually, the ALT/JTE will read the information and ask the class, "Who is he/she?"
The class can guess the name.
