Blooket Games Explained

Working in conjunction with one of my JTEs, I plan on making a few PDFs (from Google Slides) to show and explain some of the games on the Blooket site.

I saw this site recommended a few days ago from another activity and I fell in love. I find it way more fun than just your typical Kahoot. Unfortunately, the Blooket site is only available in English, so I wanted a way to explain the rules of these fun games to the students without just having them try random buttons or touching the screen randomly. I plan on making more of these when I have free time, but for now I will add the Gold Quest PDF. The explanations are written in both English and Japanese with screenshots for reference, so feel free to explain it to the students yourself or have the JTE do it for you. Let me know what other games you'd like to see explained. I defintely plan on using this a lot more this year for vocabulary and grammar practice.

Update: Added the Racing PDF 5/30/23

Thank you for these. They are really helpful. Planning to try Blooket in my classes soon. Could you help with a question? Does the host tablet display the game questions like kahoot? I haven't been able to figure this out. Thanks!

@Beverbin Good question! I believe most, if not all, of the games available on the Blooket site show the questions only on the students' tablets. The host tablet just shows the order/ranking of the students in real time. For students, the questions are in a random order (I've never tried seeing if you can make them do them in a specific order, but I know you can make the answers to the questions change positions each time they do the question).

Did you ever create more of these? I would love to play more of the games with my students (I may or may not have a personal addiction to Blooket lol) but don't know enough Japanese to translate everything myself!
