Activity

Who was at school

Students answer questions about school visitors.

I've included three activities.

The two slide shows are quiz games to be played in groups. They are basically the same however one uses 'Snoopy was in the library' and the other uses 'I saw Snoopy' 'He was in the library'. The later is the one I usually use.

For the quiz game you press play and then the students race to write the answer or just come up to a teacher and speak the answer. If correct they get points based on speed or random point cards. Then do an answer check and move onto the next question with a new student bringing their answer.

The other activity is a mingler game. The students select one room for each question and circle it. They then make pairs and take turns guessing what room their partner selected by asking 'Were you in the ... at 10:00?'. If the answer is yes they get 1 point, if no they get 0 points. They ask three questions switch roles and then make a new pair.

After they've played with four people or once a time limit is reached they stop and total their points. I usually stop when a couple of kids have finished.
