-This is a powerpoint made with Keynote (Apple's version of Powerpoint)-
-There are a few opening slides that will lead you to a "character select screen". Call on students to pick a character and then push the icon.
-Each character has an assigned country and each country gets 3 hints that use the target language. ( FYI: Most assigned countries don't fit the actual character's origins. Example: To my knowledge, Kirby is not from Morocco.)
-Once you've finished a country, hit the smash logo to go back to the character select screen.
-After you've done all 8 characters you can hit a red "X" to do the "Boss Levels" which are much harder countries with more vague hints.
-As stated in the description if this video game theme is too distracting or nonsensical to you I totally understand. My kids just like it when I add video game themes to our activities. I plan to upload one that is shorter and more basic.
It would be very helpful to use the built in export feature in Keynote that allows you to export this to a powerpoint file which the overwhelming majority of ALTs would use.
@Euit834 I completely understand that the majority of ALT's use powerpoint or slides. I have wanted to make powerpoint equivalents for my projects and have for some of the smaller ones. The problem is that the export feature has a myriad of problems with it. It will delete keynote specific assests without providing substitutes, remove music, break the sequence for slides and links, etc. This is not me trying to sound sarcastic or frustrated at people who have requested powerpoint versions, it is simply the case that the converters I've used have basically made me make the same game twice.
As an iMac user i completely understand.
