This is based on a drinking game with the same name.
But instead of drinking students will rip a heart off from their name tags. (not to encourage drinking)
I generally give students 6 hearts and have some sticky tape to put on their t-shirt.
I put the rules in the powerpoint. You can change them as you please.
For some classes I have the rules with minimal Japanese. But for this version I have it mostly in Japanese.
A student will pick from a card from the deck.
Each card has their own set of rules.
You can change the difficulty depending on the class.
Give students maybe 10-20 seconds to answer depending on their level.
Let me know if you have any suggestions or questions.
King's cup (Speaking game using cards)
This is based on a drinking game. This activity is best used for 6-40 students, English club, warm up or the whole lesson. You'll need a cup and a deck of cards.

What is the 1 to seven gesture game? Did you provide examples for students to make their own rules on a King?
Hi!
It's hard to explain. It's easier to just show the students how to play.
In the beginning you start with "1" and a student will either tap their left shoulder or right shoulder. (using their left hand to tap their right shoulder and vice versa)
If they tap their left shoulder we go left or right if they tap their right and count up.
Then we go to "2" and "3" until "6"..
The rules are the same until we go to 7 which is the tricky part.
For 7 they tap their heads and go with the direction on where their hands are pointing.
And we start counting from 1 again. It sounds complicated but it's really pretty simple.
But you can just cut it out if you want...
For the king, some students couldn't decide which rule they wanted to make on the spot with the pressure of everyone looking at them. So I told them that other classes made this rule or that rule and they made similar rules.
I hope this helped.
