I’ve done this activity for Junior High and High School students. It can take 15-30 minutes. I usually pair this activity with another.
Directions:
I start by going over a short vocabulary list. After this, the students get into groups (optional), and I hand out the Christmas Lyrics worksheets. Students then listen to the songs and do their best to get the most lyrics correct on the worksheet.
For the first two songs, I play the songs only once since the lyrics repeat in the songs. For the last two songs, I play them twice if time allows.
After playing the songs, I give the students a chance to discuss the lyrics among themselves. When they finish, I project the answers on the board. We then count points. Each correct word is one point.
