On page 95 of New Horizon there are some listening exercises for students to practice listening to the starting sounds of words. I've made a few more so students can have a little more practice. Each exercise the students have to check the two words that have the same starting sound as the example.
- t sound example - tiger 1. turtle 2. hand 3. tennis 4. rabbit
- w sound example - watermelon 1. rain 2. wolf 3. white 4. plane
- m sound example monkey 1. map 2. noodles 3. mirror 4. snowman
- p sound example pig 1. ruler 2. pencil 3. pink 4. book
- d sound example door 1. devil 2. mouse 3. moon 4. dice
- y sound example yoyo 1. hamburger 2. yogurt 3. yellow 4. xylophone
