This game is a mix between Typhoon and Treasure Hunt, in which students must answer a question and then choose a number which determines the amount of points they receive/lose. Includes everything you need except for the questions -- this template is intended to be as flexible as possible so that many ALTs can use it without having to search for specific games for what they want to review.
RULES:
- Form groups of 4-6 (depends on class size)
- ONE group answers at a time. If they are unable to answer correctly, another group can volunteer to answer.
- Whichever group answers correctly will choose a number 1-48 from the grid. When you click on the number, it will reveal how many points they receive/lose. Number choices will dimish over time.
- The group with the most points wins.
MECHANICS:
This Powerpoint uses 2 mechanics that are important for running the game smoothly.
1 - Custom shows: Slide order MUST be activated by something called "Custom shows" in order to easily transition between the question and the number grid. If your PowerPoint is in Japanese like mine, you can see the Custom show I made by going to スライドショー(tab) -> 自的別スライドショー-> USE-THIS (then it will go straight into Presentation mode)
2 - Redirect: When the question appears, you will see a typhoon illustration pop up in the lower righthand corner. You MUST use that to redirect to the number grid, otherwise, the slideshow will reset.
NOTE:
There's a slide at the end that shows where all of the point icons are. I added this in case you want to change the frequency of points/losses, or if you want to change the order of things for future games with the same class. I'm not sure how this will effect the built-in mechanics. I imagine you will probably have to re-redirect things using Custom shows again. Sorry :(
