I made these English/Japanese song lyric sheets which students can take from a folder that was posted on the English board.
I also printed screenshots of the music videos and put it up on the board, but that's up to you.
You can use it as a class warm-up activity, too.
August - "What Time is It? (summertime)" from High School Musical
September - "September" by Earth, Wind, and Fire
October - "Thriller" by Michael Jackson
November - "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane
December - "Last Christmas" by Wham!
January - (I didn't make one for that month T^T)
February - "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift
March - "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus
The songs are themed for the particular month.
These are fantastic!!! Thank you for sharing.
@Beverbin Glad you like them!
For January I might recommend Auld Lang Syne. Everyone here knows it as that song the stores play when they want you to leave. But of course for us, it has significance on New Years. There's a nice version from Peanuts on YouTube (plus everyone loves Snoopy).
Look great! I know some people are fed up with Last Xmas but the students I teach love it. I teach at ES and I showed them the video telling them the story beforehand and writing only the chorus on the blackboard. Stevie Wonder had a song called "I just called.." that could fit in anywhere...?
Thanks a lot for sharing!!
