🌟 What’s This Activity About?
This activity is a modified version of an old Korean personality test, revamped for a Japanese classroom! It’s adaptable for any grade level, but my elementary school kids especially enjoyed it. The activity features four "tests," and it’s a great way to engage students in writing while having some lighthearted fun.
đź“ť General Notes
- The tests are purely for fun—no real science behind them—but students love the creativity and humor involved!
- If students write their answers in English, this activity can take up a significant chunk of class time. If you prefer a quicker version, let them write in Japanese instead.
🎒 Materials
- Scrap paper and pencils.
- TV + HDMI + PowerPoint.
🎲 How to Play
1) Set the stage:
- Explain that this is a fun personality test and that their answers will "reveal" something unique about them.
- Assure them it’s all just for laughs!
2) Follow the prompts:
- Students write their answers on scrap paper as you go through the slides.
- Encourage them to focus and answer honestly (it’s more fun that way!).
3) Reveal the results:
- After each test, reveal the "results" and watch the laughter and reactions unfold.
- Bonus: Have students practice saying their results in English if time allows.
💡 Why It’s Great
- It’s an entertaining and low-prep way to practice writing and listening.
- Works well as an icebreaker or filler activity.
- Students love the surprise and humor of the results!

Did this with a group of 3rd grade special needs kids. They enjoyed it a lot! My JTE laughed at most of the Japanese translation, tho, as a warning!
Love this idea, I have a small all-girls class I think they'll really like this
