Guess Who! inspired game for 1年生 to practice "Do you...?" and "Are you...?" grammar. Students will make pairs and ask "Do you...?" questions in order to guess who their partner is thinking of. If they think they have the answer, they will ask "Are you [so and so]?".
For example:
A: Do you play baseball?
B: No, I don't.
A: Do you have a bike?
B: Yes, I do.
A: Are you Mr. Hamster?
B: Yes, I am!
Then switch. Go back and forth until time is up or until they've guessed them all. I recommend splitting 10 minutes into few minute intervals so they have the opportunity to go back and forth with a few different students.
Made for New Horizons 1 but applicable to other textbooks and lessons. Might be okay for high-level 6th graders at the end of the year :)
This seems like a good warm up grammar review activity. I found it amusing the way you spelled Ohtani Shohei, is it some kind of pun you have with your students lol? Anyways, thank you for sharing!
@nisaa1234 Thank you! It's just a fake Ohtani Shohei I made for the activity haha
This is great. If you don't mind, I kind of copied yours and made a different version.
@CNALT Thank you! And it's no problem at all! Another teacher gave me an idea similar to this. Posting activities/worksheets is all about sharing and editing for our own class' needs :D
