A fill in the blank quiz to introduce the target language. It can be done in a variety of ways.
If you don't have much time then as a class volunteers just putting their hands up to answer.
In groups in the same way or one member from each group rushing to a teacher to give a possible answer. The answer can either be the one on the screen or different ones if you think their answer is also okay.
The quiz is followed up by a writing activity. The presentation includes a few examples. This can be done in groups, pairs or individuals. I sometimes pair it with character race or just give stickers if they manage to answer a few questions.
