This activity can be used after students are comfortable with weather vocabulary and the Q&A "How's the weather?" In the PowerPoint slides, we look at weather in different prefectures and also do sentence structure practice: "It's _____ in ____." (ex. "It's rainy in Tokyo.")
On the worksheet, students make their own report by choosing the weather for six different prefectures in Japan. After that, they should talk about their report however you deem appropriate: with a partner, in groups, or in front of class.
I created this activity for 4th grade students using Let's Try 2 (unit 2). But if you use a different textbook, the worksheet is easily editable.
Printing Tip
When making copies using a Risograph, you may want to print with dark settings.
I chuckled at the last one.
Very cute and relevant idea, thank you for this!~
