Hi everyone,
I'm eventually going to get around to uploading my activities, but for now, I thought I'd upload one of my favorites.
This game was made specifically for ES Grade 3 Let's Try Unit 3. Its main purpose is to practice numbers and counting in English, and it utilizes numbers 1-20.
In this activity, the students will be counting how many goombas run across the screen, similar to the Mario Party minigame.
Before clicking the arrow after start, ask the students, "How many Goombas?" After they finish watching them run across the screen, the students will make their guesses. After they finish a few guesses, go to the next slide and count the number of goombas one by one, with the students counting with you or repeating after you. If a student was correct, they get 1 point!
I made 6 rounds for this activity, which usually runs about 15 minutes, but if you want to add in your own animations, the layers should allow you to make more.
I hope you and your students can enjoy it!
Thank you!
This is amazing. Thank you!
So cute!! Thank you~
Nice work! Cheers!
I am so excited to use this! There will be lots of laughs and I feel the way you can all count together at the end of each round is cute and effective! Thanks for your hard work!!

I LOVE this, thanks for sharing! I'm telling my JTE we MUST use this
I actually used this for my second graders, they went crazy for the random kirby!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! my special need class LOVED it so much!!
I want to use this game, but I'm confused as to why Mario and Luigi are labeled as Chad and Meg on the game slides?
I'm glad everyone is enjoying the activity! It took a lot of effort, so it makes me so happy to see it being used!
@srmaynard44, Mario and Luigi aren't labeled within the powerpoint. The image is from an in-game Mario Party screenshot, so it's likely the usernames of whoever was playing in the screenshot. Since it's from the image, you won't be able to change it without deleting the image (which is needed for the game).
In Mario Party, the game usually labels the characters with a username, or "Player 1," "Player 2," etc. rather than "Mario" or "Luigi," so it's also realistic to the game!
In either case, it shouldn't affect the activity or practice whatsoever! I hope your class can enjoy it! :)
Thank you! My students really enjoyed this and its a great challenge for grade 1 and 2. Really supplements my lesson. Thank you for submitting this.
