Versatile Mario themed board game. It works the same way as snakes and ladders, except you go down the piranha plants, and up the pipes.
- I usually use snakes and ladders for reviews, and give students a huge pile of questions to get through. If you want to check they're studying properly, adding a worksheet to write answers on can help. (Especially if they have to bring it to you).
- You can make up your own specific rules, such as what grammar to use it with, when the students must answers questions/form sentences etc.
Goomba and power up plants are on the board just for aesthetics, but if you want to give them a power (go back one space etc) then go for it.
A4 version has 50 squares.
A3 version has 100 squares. I recommend using 2 dice when playing with the A3 board. (This can occasionally take a whole lesson if you want to let it go on that long.)
There are two versions of each. One has ? boxes, so that students only answer a question when they land on those squares.
Prep:
- Print off desired board. (4-5 players per board)
- Dice
- Students can use erasers as their markers. (or you can go all out and make them some Mario characters.)
Thank you! Could you please upload them as a pdf files?
