Gesture Verbs Board Game

Made for Special Needs students in a small class size, could work in small groups as well. Practices JHS 1st year verbs using gestures. Primarily meant for speaking/listening.

I made this board game for my JHS 1st years Special Needs class after hearing they still need help with verbs. Writing/reading is still difficult for them, so this activity primarily focuses on listening and understanding the verbs via gestures. Works best with a small class so you and your JTE can help check the meaning of each verb.

Instructions:
- Print out one board per group, laminate for longevity.
- All students put their erasers on the start.
- Roll dice (you can use a website too, if you're cheap like me!!*) to determine where their eraser goes.
- Students MUST gesture whatever they land on in order to continue.
- For spaces with a blue arrow attached, students MUST do that before continuing. (For example, even if a student rolls a 6 right at the beginning, they must still write their name on the board).
- Continue until all students are finished or time is up.

Attached is the Powerpoint file I made this on, as well as a PDF.
Let me know if you have any questions/suggestions. Thanks!
