Who's This Woman?

Students create names for characters on the worksheet and then ask classmates, 'Who's this ~?' Then, students practice writing questions and answers.

DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  • Practice the grammar using, "Who's this woman / man / boy / girl?" and "She's ~." or "That's ~."
  • Practice reading the prepared names from the list on the left of page 1.
  • Have the students fill out 5 names on the worksheet. This can be done by gender or by seat. For example, all boys will write 5 girls names, all boys will write 5 boys names, or the left side of the class must write 5 boys names.

  • Students then walk around and ask each other, "Who's this ~?" and write their partners answer.

  • When the student has written all of the names, they can sit down and begin to write the question and answer portion on page 2.

VARIATIONS:

  • Instead of using the name list on page one, try having the students create their own names for each character.

TEACHING SUGGESTIONS:

  • Adjust the grammar to fit your textbook if needed.
