This activity should be done in pairs. In the document, you will find: a blank handout (for you to project or put up in front of the class so you don't give the answers away), and handouts labelled A and B.
Break the class into pairs, and hand out the worksheets. Each pair should have an A and B copy respectively. I like to tell them to keep their worksheets a secret from their partner just to get them in a more game-spirited mood.
With your teacher's copy (the blank handout), go through all of the vocab and phrases (places and directional instructions), and explain that the motive of the activity is to figure out where all the places are with the help of their partner. They should take turns to get directions to the places on their worksheets.
You could demonstrate with your JTE, or a student to help get the point across.
If you have time leftover after the activity, you could quiz the students with your blank sheet too!
I love information gap activities like this! Thank you for sharing! I was looking for an activity for tomorrow so this is awesome!
