Students make teams and compete to have them most money at the end.
Teams take turns (go in order) to pick a number corresponding with a question. They then have a set amount of time to answer the question (you need a timer, or just count down). If they fail to answer the question within the allotted time the question can be stolen by another team. You can choose the team by the fastest team to raise their hand, the closest to guess the number you're thinking of, etc. (the original team can compete to answer again.) The next team to answer for the same question has less time.
There are no answers in the powerpoint (exception for multiple choice and sentence correction) because I would rather promote many diverse answers. I clap for the students and reveal their prize money if they give a correct answer.
I think it's pretty straight forward, there are more simple instructions in the ppt.
!!* Make sure you click on the number in the box on the question home page slide or else the X will not appear when you return to the page
after answering the question, clicking once will reveal the cases money amount and the question of deal or no deal.
If deal, write down the students point and click the home button to move on.
If no deal, click the no deal button and it will take you to their surprise (more money, less money, steal money, or extra question) !!*
On the homepage the money rectangles corresponding to the questions will disappear if you click them as you answer questions.
My teachers and the students really enjoyed this, so they asked me to make this review game for 1st and 2nd year as well. You can find them if you put deal or no deal in the search bar. I feel like this goes without saying but feel free to edit the questions etc. as you need for your own uses.
This is a nice game!
