Super Smash Bros Review
This is a multi-purpose activity, though it's best as a review tool.
Format:
Put the class in groups unless it's a really small class
Give each group a scrap of paper (the answer format is up to you)
Groups can take turns answering questions with a 1 minute time limit or it can be whoever raises their hand first or whoever hands in their written answer first, up to you
How to play:
Before starting the game, write numbers 1 through 27 on the board (for tracking which questions have been picked) and the number of groups with 3 circles under each along with 0.0%
Start the game by letting each group pick their character (they pick a number between one and nine on the character select screen).
After characters are chosen, click the hand icon to proceed to game instructions.
This works similarly to Smash Bros - all groups get 3 lives and start with 0.0%, the goal is to give other teams points and they lose a life if they get hit while over 100%. The group with the most lives and least amount of damage wins.
You can review the items with the class or let it be surprise, usually I skip explaining the items beforehand.
After the explanation, simply click 'fight' to start the game and let a group choose a number.
When a group answers a question, click the smash bros icon in the top left next to the question. After that, the group that answered picks another team and a number between 1 and 3 for the reward.
Items explained:
Combo: The group that gets this continues picking rewards until they get a banana or the team they're "hittting" gets knocked out.
Mushroom: Pick another reward and do x2 damage with it.
Smash ball: Pick a group and Janken. If you win, you do 50 damage.
POW: Do 10 damage to all other groups. Each time the POW is played, it does 10 more damage than last time (so on the second time, it will do 20 damage to all other groups).
Pokeball: Random effect (electrode does 50 damage to all groups, including the group that drew it, Bewear simply does 40 damage, Mimiku does 40 damage and will knockout above 90%, the mew trophy automatically rewards the group with a prize like a sticker or whatever you use for rewards).
Trophy: Automatically rewards the group with whatever you use as a prize for games, like stickers.
Hammer: Do 10 damage immediately and janken with the other group. Every time you win, you do another 10 damage. Continue to janken until you lose.
Bat: Choose a group and janken. If you win, do 100 damage (almost guaranteed knockout).
Banana: You do 0 damage.
Chansey: You heal 30 damage.
Fruit: You heal 10 damage.

So much detail and thought put into making it feel like playing the game. Great work!
