Detailed Explanation:

  • Have students make partners and have the partners turn their desks to face each other.
  • Students play janken and the winner asks questions first, and then students switch roles.
  • Student A asks Student B the four questions and then based on their partner's answer, they can draw, write the answers in English or Japanese on their own worksheet.
  • When both students are done interviewing and drawing, ALT will shout "switch" and students will rotate partners. The rotating system depends on the system you create. It can be the odd rows move to their right and then start the interview again or even rows move.

Variations:

  • Teachers can consider changing the topics for the students learning benefits.

Teaching Suggestions:

  • ALT and JTE can do a role play to ensure the students understand of this game.
  • Teachers should walk around to make sure students are asking each other questions in English as this is a speaking exercise.
