Let's try 2! Doesn't have a lot of interactive (Let's watch and think) activities where students can write what they notice. Below, I've shared how I designed the worksheet to work for teaching Unit 5. I've cut the activity and the let's play 2 from page 21. Instead, I always have my students play "Go fish" using cards they either cut from their textbook or that I print and make.
The whole Unit is split in 4 or 5 Lessons depending on the pace of the class. (Lesson flow example below).
Song and Chant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUgwOZddTew ([Song] 3학년 Lesson 7. I Have a Pencil.)
I use a song from Youtube for the lesson instead of the textbook. If you don't have access to Youtube, it's no problem.
***Lesson 1:
Song & Chant
Practicing vocabulary - I added an extra word (Mechanical pencil)
Grammar point - My students learn plurals (adding s or es from Unit 7) so the grammar I cover here is count/noncount objects. I don't teach it as nouns because then it's too complicated.
Let's Watch and Think 1 - Watch the videos in the textbook and write the number counted on the worksheet. (page 18)
***Lesson 2:
Song & Chant
Practicing vocabulary (once again)
Grammar point - I cover the next grammar point in this lesson, which is a/an and [ ] no article. So students can get a better understanding of the rules of English.
Let's Listen 1 - this part is in the textbook (page 20).
***Lesson 3:
Song & Chant
Practicing vocabulary (once again)
Let's Watch and Think 2 (worksheet and textbook activity)
Explain Go fish rules
***Lesson 4:
Song & Chant
Practicing vocabulary (once again)
Play Go fish
