Vocabulary Scavenger Hunt - Christmas

An activity that gets the students up and moving around and helps to review their vocabulary words.

I was requested an activity that got the students up and moving around and helped to review their winter homework vocabulary words. The first 10 pages of this document are printed and hung up around the classroom. The 11th page is the one they fill out and the 12th are the vocabulary words we used. This could easily be repurposed for any season, any set of vocabulary words, etc. I used this activity for both my more advanced and less advanced 3rd year high schoolers and they did well!

The idea was that the students walked around the room with a partner and went to answer the questions. For example, question one says "Use this when your hair is wet." It was hair dryer, and there is a number 1 below the letter y. They take that letter y and put it in the bottom sentence at the lines labeled 1. In the end, it spells out, "I wear red and say, 'Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas.'" Who am I? On canva you could edit it to say anything you want! I wanted mine to take a longer time today but you could easily make adjustments to fit your needs.

The more advanced class was almost done after about 20 minutes and we got back together to go over the answers, but they probably would need 25 to finish it all themselves. The less advanced class needed probably 30-35. I was excited to see them working with their partners and trying to figure it out! If you have any questions, do let me know!

You should be able to! In the description I put the canva link. I am logged into the canva currently so I cannot fully test, but from the link you should be able to click make a copy, no? I hope so lol

I really like your idea, so I was also hoping to edit this but even after logging in to Canva, the link is only a viewable link :( I only have a share function, no way to make a copy or edit. T_T

A couple of notes: on the vocab list, I was told that the katakana for hair dryer should be ドライヤー (ending in "ya-" not "a-"), and I think for numbers 21 and 6, it should be "when" not "where".
